missing home

hey!

i know i need to update more. i'll try a bit harder from now on.

yeah so i'm in egypt. i got here august 24th and immediately i knew i couldn't stay here for the whole year like i am supposed to. it is so different over here. i was talking with some people and we have come to a consensus and we have agreed that cairo doesn't compare to any us city. i mean 12 million people live in this city. it's way to many fucking people to be living in one spot. i don't really want to go into detail because it'll really just make me want to go home. but i don't like the food here, they have no traffic laws so the traffic here is insane!!!!! (i was actually in my first accident one of my first days here), they hit people with the cars alll the time. just to give you a little taste of my life.

i mean i've done some very fun things while i've been here though. take last night for example. i heard about this rave given by heineken at, get this, the pyramids of giza!!!!!! it was amazing. it was a light with some band i've never heard of (although i got to slap the hand of the lead singer), two world famous dj's, and they gave everyone two free heinekens. the amazing part was that the backdrop was the pyramids of giza and the sphinx. they were breathtaking and i can't wait to go back during the day to take a camel ride and get tons more pictures of them. i even met a guy there. his name is essa. he's 19 and lives in egypt. so what if his english isn't amazing cause he is soooo freaking hot! :-P we dirty danced and made out a little. he kinda reminded me of pharrell (more the body and way he was dressed) but he was way hotter. and i think i felt a 6 pack under his shirt...;-)

anyways...back to the fun stuff i've done. i went to the cairo museum that's right near my school and it was absolutely awesome. they have so much ancient egyptian artifacts. i would need to spend like a week in there to see it all. i am going back because in the many hours i was there i only saw maybe a quarter of the artifacts.

i've made some friends here. they're pretty cool and we have a great time when we go out partying. see the drinking age here in egypt is supposedly 21 but everyone drinks so my friends and i do as well. we've been out drinking a lot but it's great fun. our group is mainly: Sarah (my roommate), Tiffany, Shauna, Jason (black sugar), Jason (white sugar), me, and Will (who is British with one sweet accent but he is leaving us on monday :-()

i went on my study aborad orientation this last weekend. it was amazing because we stayed on the red sea at a 5 star hotel. i got quite tan because the sun here is very strong and we stayed out on the beach almost the entire time we were there. and at night we went out partying to all the bars and one of there clubs. i even played beach volleyball one of the days in about 95 degree heat. that was hard. the hotel and the view was just breathtaking and i really want to go back or just move the campus up that way so i could have it as my dorm. ;-)

i'm going to get food now but i'll update later.

i love all you people from home and i miss you.
